Join the Grants panel

We are currently recruiting community members to join the Grants Panel!

What will the Panel do?

The Panel will consider grant applications made for CIL money from community organisations across the city. The commitment is for one year and will involve:

  • attending a training session
  • preparing for attending three grants panels over the year
  • participating in a review of the process.

Preparation will involve reading and considering applications before meeting to assess them against the agreed criteria (in the community strategy) .

We have a terms of reference for the grants panel: ECS grants panel terms of reference final draft

Who can apply?

Applications are invited from people who are members of full members of the Exeter Community Forum. Sorry, if you’re a councillor you won’t be able to serve on the panel as Exeter City Council will be represented by Cllr Paul Bull. Additionally, the grants, once considered will go through Council’s decision making processes. But if you are a Councillor please do read the strategy and the criteria and encourage relevant groups to apply

How and when to apply!

Nominations are invited by Monday 11th July 2016 and the panel will be drawn by lot by the Steering committee from valid nominations received.
